21 Aug 2022. Joshua Clarke (The King’s School, Worcester) won the Junior Champion’s title at the Worcestershire Chess Championships held at Worcester.
1 Aug 2022. Yorkshire juniors were run-away first, followed by Leicestershire Juniors. Worcestershire Squad were ahead of Surrey, Nottingham and Staffordshire juniors. Eric Gregory (RGS Worcester) was again the highest scorer for the county with 16 points.
26 Jul 2022. Juniors and older hands play social chess at the Village Hall. The club next meets on 2 August and then fortnightly during August and moving to a weekly schedule in September. View their flyer or contact Debbie Robinson.
4 Jul. 2022Worcestershire Squad on 94 points were 3rd. The top scorer in this battle was Worcestershire’s Eric Gregory with 38 points. The battle was won by Kent Juniors.
2 Jul 2022. Twelve-year-old Cameron Henry made history by becoming Kidderminster club’s youngest ever finalist in the club championship.
6 Jun 2022, Simon Berry reports. Worcestershire Squad maintained their place despite having only four players available. Worcestershire’s top player Eric Gregory (RGS, Worcester) with 39 points was the second highest individual score in the event. Other members of the team were Ned Guyatt (Worc Jun Chess Acad and Nunnery Wood HS, Worcester), Cameron Henry (Kidderminster and RGS Worcester) and Michelle Zhu (King’s Hawford School, Worcester). The battle was won by Richmond Juniors.
