The 2022 Worcestershire Closed congress
The 2022 closed congress was held at The King’s School Worcester, on the weekend of 19 and 20 August. This year the Dining Hall was used for play. The 2022 edition was held after a two-year hiatus caused by the Covid-19 epidemic. The organisers allowed players to make their own decision whether to wear masks at the board. It was decided to play a congress with four rounds only omitting the Saturday evening round which had been poorly attended in the previous congresses. A total of 22 players played in this congress. Ray Collett was organiser and Andrew Farthing was controller for the congress.
