7 Sep 2026 And they’re off! The first Dudley & District League match of the season was played in Division 3. Halesowen’s A and B teams fought to a draw. See details.
6 Sep 2026. Fixtures list published for Division 2 and Division 3. There are no matches in Division 1 this season.

25 Aug 2026. Annual meeting elects new president. Mike Biddle (Oscott) was unanimously elected as President and John Fahy (Warley) remains as secretary, treasurer and ratings officer. John reported that finances were satisfactory and members inspected the pass book. There were no entries for Division 1 and it was agreed that ther would be no Division 1 competition in 2026-7. There was discussion about ratings limits for Divisions 2 and 3 and maximum ratings were left the same as last season. New club Kinver opted to play in Division 3 this season. President of Worcestershire Chess Association, Ray Collett, addressed members and told them about individual tournaments open to members of affiliated clubs and the recent results at Worcestershire Closed Congress. At prize-giving Mike presented the Division 2 trophy to Louis Maciel for championship team SB Dudley Boyz and Reg Jones received the trophy for Division 3 champions Kynoch. Five teams compete in Division 3: Halesowen A, Halesowen B, Mercia, Kidderminster and Kinver.
